Although slightly less exposed to the North Pacific Swells than Costa Rica, it gets the west and south swells that are generated from the roaring forties and hurricane swells.
The main swell season is from April to October although the rest of the year is pretty consistent as well. You also have the option of driving from one coast to the other if things are not happening where you are. The almost always calm conditions are another huge plus point to surfing Panama.
Don't understand the lingo here? help is at hand with the wave terms and surf dictionary.
Quality Panama waves include P-Land, Punta Brava and the lefts at Rivermouth.
