Gabriel Medina Wins the Rip Curl Pro San Francisco
Brazilian surfer Gabriel Median has defeated Joel Parkinson in the final to win this years Rip Curl Pro Search. Medina, at only 17, has one twice in only four starts on the tour.

The ASP Board of Directors has voted to ratify several refinements to the ASP World Tour and ASP World Rankings for the 2012 season.
World champion surfers and the business community will join forces at the inaugural BlackBerry SurfAid Ball which will be held in Sydney on Friday 9 March.
Tomorrow night (Friday 20 January) the one-of-a-kind festival hits Yallingup for a weekend of surf culture celebration. There will be a great range of films, music, art exhibitions and discussion forums throughout the entire weekend.
The ASP World Surfing Awards is heading to the Gold Coast in February.
Kieren Perrow has won the 2011 Billabong Pipe Masters at Pipeline on the North Shore. Perrow defeated Joel Parkinson in the final.
