Another two days have past and the've both been at CITS again.

Yesterday was great fun in the crossshore over the reef with teh biiiiig swell toppinout out in the chop at about 6ft. still some tasty sections to be had. Was great catching up with everyone that surfs this break.

Today saw more east in the winds compared to yeaterday and the swell saw no relent in its power. solid 5ft most of the sassion dispite the tide working against it. Big long walls and a few kegs to be had today and it got very shallow. 5 hours in today, I'm pooped!

been down the genntih again today, swell is still really nice and clean but the damn wind is blowing up too much chop and spray for it to reach its full potiential, loads of wind on the face too making it trickier.
Seemed really good for windsurfing tho, few guys out there getting some nice rides - didnt see any loops tho, and one of them seemed to think it was great fun to try and get as close as he could to the surfers on the peak as he came in. not really helping the image of windurfers who arent held in that high a regard by most surfers round here already.

Took a dip in the final dregs of the swell today at ceriad. Nothing special and dispite someone getting killed there yesterday being a dickhead on a jetski there where still others doing the same even tho its obiviously stupid and illegal.

Ooh, feeling sore today... but good sore :D

Had a session at Puts on thursday - started chest-head high and then dropped throughout the day (the classic dropping tide effect at Puts). Bit shapeless (where have the sandbanks gone?) and closing out, but got some good waves. Got a bit freaked out by the closing out drops into six inches of water later in the day

Direct onshore on friday, so not looking like a good day. But picked the exact moment at saunton when the swell picked up and the wind dropped off for a couple of hours and got some cracking waves :D :D :D :D
The waves held surprisingly good shape and I got a nice amount of speed and some lips bashed. After thursdays lack-of-confidence, it all came together and I think I surfed the best I ever have.

Comedy moment was doing a fast cutback and sending up so much spray that I stopped surfing to go 'wow!' and completely forgot about the lip about to land on my head

8-9ft hardcore onshore winds.

It was pretty much a death match all day. Fighting gale force winds!

Had another surf at my local spot wednesday, first time I've seen other guys out there... so I'm not naming the spot, don't want it anymore crowded (bahaha, I surf there twice and I'm already developing a nasty case of localisim! )
Anyway, the waves were nice with a fairly strong offshore wind (as the waves broke the wind was throwing the spray back out to sea, sort of '2' shaped... it was cool). However, I kinda felt outta my depth with all these other surfers there, and so I ended up picking up the shoulders of rejected waves... However, all was forgiven when a seal showed up in the line-up, a few feet from me. It was class, we had a good chat
In short, a great time.

yeah those offshore winds make it look good, but it can be annoying when your about to drop in and cant see where you are going for spray.

Went to (semi)secret spot today cos i thought everywhere would be crowded what with the sun making a (brief) appearance, to my suprise there was no one out, even tho there was a few cars with boardbags in the car park (theres a couple of other breaks which are accessed from the same car park but they looked poor when i checked them after surfing). had it all to myself, no hassling, no fighting for waves, just one guy walking his dog on the beach. nice.

got in this morning at crantock took about 15 mins of paddling to get out back, when i made it out it was just me out there and a good 1-2ft over head, that was a bit off puting. Had 7 or so really good waves, then i paddled for one missed it, paddled for the next missed it. Then i just saw these huge sets coming in easy 4-5ft over head i paddled like crazy to make it over them but was right in the impact zone and got pinned down for a fair while, i surface with the back of my board by my head, just in time to get another breath before the second wave of the set crashes on me, but as i dive under i feel the leash round the front part of my neck, so i start panicing grab the leash and just pull it as hard as i can to slacken it off then got washing machiend which lucky for me freed the leash round my neck, got out after that to change my boardies and headed to harlyn which was much smaller and not so heavy

Awesome kitesurf today! 4ft surf and wind gusting 40kts! My favourite conditions as no-one else dared to venture out as it really was flying by the seat of your pants kitesurfing. Not only was i the only one out but i ripped and tore the waves apart. Took some mighty spankings though and came very close to getting launched up the beach on more than occasion!

Cracking sesh at Ceiriad yesterday evening. 4 hours in not at its best as it was a tad gutless (for ceiriad) but still some solid 4-6ft walls, clean. good speed but lauching was differcult with the lack of the usual lip.

Everyone in the area was out was great to know every person in the water, great atmosphere busy for ceiriad but it was all locals so that was sweet :)

Went out sunday evening at a very messy Llangranog. The waves were all over the place, and all different shapes and sizes. Got wiped out loads, and the current was helping me home in on the rocks... Great fun! I swear that for a mili-second I was in a barrel (not standing I'm afraid), but I can't be definite as after the mili-second I was like a hamster in a tumble drier. Oh well, all good experience! :D
