Hey guys
My name is Matt, I'm 18, I live in Houston. I'm not really new to surfing, I've got a 5'11" handmedown board thats a real beater. I'm looking to get a new stick probably something along 6'4ish. Oh well looking foward to meeting people on the forums.

Hi Guy's n Gals!!....first post time...Im from Shefffield originally but moved down here to S.Wales 2 years ago....started surfing April this year....and yes im hooked!!...Llangenneth only 25 miles away or 52 miles to Newgale.....top beginners beach plus it has ....pub..campsite...beach!!!!.....that'll do!!..

...get out as often as I can and as Im self employed...(I restore old VW buses for a living at home) can sneak out whenever the swells are there!!!....this site seems the dogs doo-dah's....look forward to chatting away and meeting up with fellow S.Wales peeps in the future....Cheers Guys...Andy (Ratman) ...ps Im using a 9ft Bic longboard at the mo....spot on for me!!!..

Glider: I emigrated to Ballina, NSW, Australia from the UK about a year ago.
I've managed to gain a nice little quiver over the years, & thinking of cross-stepping from shortboarding to the mals (as people on A1 may know).

Hi!

Toby - Male, 26, West London.

I spent a year and a half living in Bristol (and the last 6 months in Mallorca) When I was in Bristol I worked with this Avid surfer dude, a bunch of us from work went surfing one weekend, and I LOVED it.

Went on a couple more trips, really caught the bug. Haven't had a chance to get back to it while in Mallorca (no surf

) but now I'm back in the UK it's something I'm determined to do.

Don't know any surfers anymore, so what I might do is head on down to Croyde on my own and just enjoy the waves. I've head Newquay is good as well, might try that.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Which bit of west london are you from?
Another londoner here, stranded miles from the sea :roll:
