that 'indian girls' one is really interesting - surfing as a cultural change mechanism. In a small way. Obviously surfing has strongly influenced western culture - for good and bad at times - but the social structure in India might be a bit harder to shake up!

for oldman, here is some alaia surfing... its amazing how small the board is, it literally looks like a snowboard. Its so small he cant paddle it - he paddles out and then into the wave standing on the alaia on a SUP, catches the wave then hops off the SUP (which then goes wherever)

yeah, I thought it was a paipo but the site called it an alaia. It didn't seem to slide all over the place either, it was all a bit odd. But interesting

Finless boards do rail turns with a little assistance from shape in this case from the little wings but the tail. Consequently rail design is very important. The misleading thing is that it looks like he is surfing normally however he probably has the skill to do way more on a normal board but that is the most he can do on a finless board.

It's about Henry Jones, a local elder surfer who went to Malibu, competed ( based on that being the only way he would surf Malibu with only six out) and won the over 70s , .
So a slide show embracing the old and the new, shots of Manly, Fairy Bower, old cars and surfboard factories, and more recently Merimbula and Pambula.
