Agree entirely with Roy in this, this is twelve foot, all other measurements are in my opinion hairy chest beating alpha male posturing.
My simple scale is on a normal guy overhead is 6, double is between 10 and 12, triple is getting serious and 4 times in the you really need to know what you're doing at an extreme level, beyond 3 is now out of my league and 4 times, well I surrendered to that in my late thirties.
That big now if I was in the water I'd be an obstacle to avoid![]()
Big wave surfing is awesome for its own sake it doesn't need a layer of BS added to impress
