Bus people arent very helpful!

Hi all, <---new person


Since this is general chat i am gonna whine about the bus system here in california. Yes i know most of you are gonna hate me seeing as some of you are landlocked but the bus people wont let me take a board on over 6ft and i have a 7'6 fun board! this sucks because if they would i can go everyday....like at this very since there is a bus leaving for newport beach but i cant go because board to big. i am getting a ride down tomorrow but still i cant just go every few days lol...

PS. if you know any trick to getting on the bus with a board plz share share =) thank you all for listening to my rant. :twisted:

thats so the same in nz, i have a mini mal. they won't let you do it because insurance companys won't cover them if anything happens in an accident, so the biggest thing you are allowed is a boogie board. the best thing to do is either A; find some one with a car who lives near you and surfs/wants to learn to surf and become their best friend or offer to split petrol costs or B; meet some one who lives within walking distance of the beach and offer to baby sit/mow their lawns/wash their car or whatever if you can keep your board in their garage. failing that you could try hitch hiking? might work.

Or trains, unless it's a sub-6 foot beermat type thing. There are disadvantages to being a longboarder sometimes :(

down here in cornwall you can take surf boards on the bus and the train. i think it depends on the bus company.

Go to that new desighs in surf topic and ask that guy for a many pieces surfboard, like one you can take apart in half to carry.

Sounds expensive heavy and stupid, but i thought it is a funny idea. you could make a minimal 4' easily.

Maybe it could even work if well done.

ah what cant you take a 7.6 on the train in the UK???? i dont wanna drive to cornwall thats to dam far!! its gonna ruin my plans now!!
