Need advice for goggles to protect eye

Hi,
My husband has a severely compromised cornea and is not supposed to get it wet in the ocean - for the rest of his life. I'm trying to figure out a way to get him back on the water surfing smaller waves, maybe body boarding. Has anyone come up with a system of larger goggles (for visibility) or swimming goggles along with the right strap and a cap or neoprene hood to keep them on your face when you wipe out? My thought was a hood with oversized swim goggles like these: https://www.big5sportinggoods.com/store/details/nike-expanse-adult-swim-mask/3320128460151/_/A-7284011. One question is where to get a strap that does not stretch since people have commented it won't stay on otherwise.

Has any one found a solution? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

consult with your doctor. Ask your doctor to find a way for him to surf . It's very likely that the goggles will fail sometime so make sure it's okay with the doctor

The doctor has no solutions. She is a well known cornea specialist, extremely busy and knows nothing about surfing. Yes, if the goggles fail occasionally I think my husband will take the risk. If the goggles fall off, he will just put them back on. If he doesn't try to protect his eye it would likely lead to an infection and another infection could mean he will lose his eye completely.

He is missing out on the life he wants to live. I want to try to find a solution.
