So, no waves for almost a month now.
I just moved away from my foamie to a mini mal but shiiit, no waves at all!!! So I’m thinking of getting a carver/yow/globe and I’m thinking which one? There are over 20 models just in the carver/triton range.
And tips? What to look at?
I will not take this to the skate park, just a surfing practice and fun.
Thanks

I've been using a One Wheel Pint and its been awesome for practicing carving when the surfs flat. It's actually been my best transportation to the beach when the surfs up too, because parking issues make it about a 10 block walk to the beach on most weekends. It's really fun to carve on that thing on my way to go surfing.. kinda carves like a Fish, with longer drawn out turns, but with less skate and more of a snowboard float feeling under your feet. I love riding that thing.
But it has it's limits if you wanna use it for surf transport.. I've carried a 9' longboard in 10-15 mph winds and it made for a sketchy ride home

Though this one wheel looks awesome as a replacement for a scooter, I am looking for something as a workout/surfing techniques product and less proper transportation

Of the 20 or so models, can you narrow it down to the top three that you’ll think you like or catches your eye.
Another thing is to choose between the C7 or CX truck system. I would go with the C7 for the most fluid feel.

C7 is certain.
Don’t have ideas regarding models,
Just that cx, short and park oriented models are a no...

The video compares Smoothstar with Carver for surf training and gives criteria that may be helpful in your search.I have a Carver Resin C7 to support my slow and smooth longboard surfing. It has a stable setup which is fun on the gentle hills I like to ride.

I got one of the Smooth Stars - it's so, so fun. Takes a little getting used to. The front truck is really squirrely. But after a few rides, it's like riding a regular skateboard. They aren't cheap and they take a long time (Covid + coming from Australia) but I love the thing
