theres one like this in Texas whitch is the giggest stationary wave in the world, Ron jons is working on a wave pool but its taking them forever and the mebership is like $1000. good news is ..the surfpark is in orldano Florida...w000 finaly we get somthing and cali dosnt =P theres a wave pool that can make perfect thin lip barrals and theres another pool for the lil ones heres there link ----> http://www.ronjonsurfpark.com/

I've heard these things dont work for xxxxx. SURFING did an article on the one their buliding in Orlando (?) by Ron Jons and they said that the thing was a big waste of cash...and water.

mush, the one in texas you have to use a speacial board, this one you can use an actual surfboard, not really like a real wave because you don't cut down the wave, but the water is a foot or so deep so you can use a board with fins
anyway, i just learned that they are building one of these at a water park near me so they are trying to outdo kalihari

well, they just built one in a city near me and it is lame, they already took off all the fins on the surfboards they have because they were ripping the cover and they hold on to a wakeboard handle while "surfing"

Anyone ever tried one of these things? Looks dangerous, with the sides so close to you all the time. Like you couldn't do anything beyond just sitting there.

some day with enough trial and error, and enough money.......they will maybe come up with something that is about 1/10th as good as riding a perfect wave....wait that was 1/100th I meant to say.

Don't get me wrong.....if I lived in Kansas or Florida for that matter, it would be well worth it.

Looks like it won't be a real wave but can help you work on your balance at most. Who knows. It was all about the one that closed down in japan with the real wave in a pool.

no matter what surfing real waves will always be better, the may get them to the level of climbing walls compared to rock climbing but real waves will allways be better
