Surfing Ireland May/June

I’m traveling to surf in Ireland - from Maui and was hoping to get some info on best board types for early summer in Ireland.
I know the surf will be smaller than winter but curious for input on long board, mini tanker , fish or other would be the most versatile.
I originally planned on bringing the board but should I rent instead? ( won’t ride a soft board)
