spraying the bottom will not make a lot of difference, as long as you dont put huge blobs of paint on. The paint wont last all that long and will start to come off after a while. Definite designs need to be put under the glass when making the board. Although you cqan probably get some water durable paints that may work. I used car spray paint on the top of my board and its still there.

You can make it last a long time actually.

Get the wax off. And clean.

Rub down with acetone.

Lightly sand with 200 grit.

Paint.

Allow to dry.

Spray with a clear poly coat OR glass over.

Obviously won't last as long as under the gloss coat but not too bad. Esp the latter.

I seriously would not be adding more glass to the bottom of your board just to put some graphics on it. the bottom of the board is seriously important...if you start adding layers to it you are in danger of slowing/screwing your ride

Sorry, not fiberglass. Just a very thin resin coat. Commonly a thin spray of 2pac.

I did it once but I didn't inhale..

Keyed the board with wet and dry to take the gloss off. Sprayed it with cans of car paint from Halfords.. never came off, never soaked up any water... looked like a piece of sh@t though...

That sounds like a huge waste of money.

massive waste of money. Spraying your own board is not hard as long you are half decent at art. Then you just spray some clear coat over. Job done or use gloss coat the total weight added isnt something worth bothering about

Im sure they are very good but sending your board via a courier is ALLWAYS a risky buisness. So often they turn up dinged and smashed. And fofr the cost i think its way better and more fun to experiment yourself.
Go for it twizlstiks you won't harm the fibreglass and doug advice is good.
