Can dings in Bics be repaired?

If so what do you use?

bics are basically plastic so imagine epoxy would work. Someone with better knoeledge of bics will probably give a more accurate answer :P

what you do... drop a bomb on it?
have a BIC smashed the thing against a reef a couple of times and watched it fly down the road in heavy wind a few times and not so much as a scratch.... one stone shaped dent underneath.
reckon epoxy filler should do the job.
fill the hole... then tape some plastic over it overnight while it sets... bingo good as new.
i normally use the lid of a bisto gravy granules tin... works a treat... just to keep the shape... slice the ends of any cracks with a razor just to make sure they don't spread if on the edges or rails...

Yup, any epoxy ding repair kit will do the job.

whatever else you do.... for the love of god don't buy ding repair patches.
for no other reason than they're cursed...
mate gave me 3 of them a few months ago. put a ding in my board for the first time in a year the day he gave them to me. then did the same next 3 times out till they were all gone. haven't had a ding since....

oh.... and duck tape is the solution to nearly everything...!

duct tape is by far the cheapest and easiest way to go...i have a pretty decent crack in the fiberglass at the nose of my sh***y long board that i decided to duct tape until i got around to fix it...1 year later the duct tape is still there and there is hardly any water rot in the foam underneath.

really good point.....
although if you managed to ding a BIC... shudder to think what you'd be capable of doing to a glass board!!!!

dont mean to be slagging... but how'd you do it?

forget it mate.... unless its stupidly cheap you could do much better!!
am actually a fan of BICs as beginner boards cos they take a beating.... but buying one that's been beaten up that badly just seems like a bad
idea.
get a decent secondhander... shouldnt be too expensive.
