Postby stonebrew4life » Mon Jun 02, 2008 3:10 pm

my wet suit tore on the stomach/chest area on the seam from almost the neck to the bottom of the stomach
should i ditch it and get a new one or find somwhere to fix it?
the mailman said he would just sew it up with think black string
but my sewing skills are deffinitly not too good

I would either send it back to the manufacturer to get repaired or get a new one. Is it still under warranty?

if its under warrenty send it back. If not just make an enquiry they may still do something about it anyway doesnt do any harm. Lucky for you the waters warmish so you can get away without a wetsuit until its repaired/replaced/new one

Suits will typically only have a one year warranty, but you can still send it to them to get it repaired. I would give them a call and see if you can get a quote for the repair before you send it in.

Wonder if the water will get up to 78 this summer like last year? Hope so....

Only thing is that if it gets that warm again we will probably get all the jelly fish again and the sea weed will probably start to die off some more. Last year the sea weed was really bad because of it.

Here are three businesses you can contact to discuss your wetsuit with. They will tell you whether it can be repaired and what it will cost.

http://www.expresswetsuit.com/howtoship.htm located in San Clemente, CA

http://www.slowtwitch.com/giles/giles.html located in Vista, CA
