What sized fish I sould get?

Hey guys, need some help choosing a fish, never tried them before, so not sure about the size I should get...
my Height 5'3, Weight usually around 63kg to 68kg, currently riding a 6'4" shortboard, though I can go lower to 6'

Hey mate, I actually just bought a FISH and it is so much fun, I have always ridden a 6'4 before and never realised what I was missing out on!
I am 65kg and got a 6'0 Fish. You should probably go anything from 5'11 to 6'0.
I got a Byrne as it is a local brand where I live but I was considering the WEBBER FISH, have heard alot of great comments about it.

if you are a competant surfer i would say 5'8" to 5'11" the fullerthe template and flatter the rocker the shorter you can go. what fin set up are you getting?

You want a fish to be about 2-4 inches shorter then you everyday short board. Depends on skill level to where you want to fall. Just remember a typical fish is going to have a lot more float (thickness) then your normal short board so you are able to go that much shorter.

id love a fish...id go for one 4 inches normal than usual, altho if you have extreme wave patterns (very big to very small) you could strech 6 inches.

5'11 or 6'0 x 20&1/2 should do the trick. Mate I reckon you could probably get a test on one of them 7S superfish, they are made in Thailand so they aren't really that cool to surf as they hurt the local shapers, but unfortunately they are really good boards.

As they are mass produced you can usually borrow one from a shop to see what size suits you. Then when you have discovered what works for you go and buy a locally made board.

Hmmm... what's the quality of NSP boards, anyone know? are they as stiff as the TL from Surftech?

I have rented 2 NSP boards on seperate trips to hawaii. One was a swallow tail and the other was a squash. They ride ok, good float, perform decent, but I couldn't get over how it feels like you are riding a I-Beam they are so stiff.

i have a nsp 6ft4 but have not had it out in along time was not albe too get on the face when i did use it so may take it out at some point now i can get on the face and see how it goes

been surfing on a shortboard for quite some time already and never tried fish, so I though something for a change... the waves @ my local beach is usually around 3~4ft, occasionally 6ft with bumpy surface should I don't bother go most of the time unless surfing with mates...

might go for a 5'10 or 6' firewire quad, the shorter length width and thickness probably would compensate being an epoxy board...

I have an afterburner... It has been fantastic!
Great in small stuff from 1' - 4' but when it gets around 6' it feels a little out of place, but still quite surfable.
