Croyde is a small village in North Devon and a classic beach break. It is a magnet to surfers from all over the country and gets extremely busy.
There are waves on all tides but this spot really goes off at low tide. On a good swell in an easterly offshore there are barrels all over the place. It can get fast and hollow pretty quickly. Many boards have been snapped at this break! Although the break is ok for beginners once the swell gets over 4ft it is really for the more experienced surfer.
There are places to stay in Croyde including camping. There are numerous threads on the forum about where to stay. Start with Camping in Croyde
There are car parks dotted around which you have to pay for.
When its flat there is usually plenty going on in the local pubs. The ice cream is nice here.
