Here's a taster of day one:
The opening day of the O'Neill Coldwater Classic Scotland an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) sanctioned event saw some of the world's top surfers offer incredible displays of surfing in clean 6ft (1.5m) barrelling rights at Thurso East. Cold winds and freezing waters were compensated with perfect swell lines wrapping along the slab reef producing an excellent kick-off to stop nº2 of the O'Neill Coldwater Classic Series 2011.
