Alessandro Piu, Italian Champion and WQS competitor has dropped the full version of his film "One Hundred and Twenty Months". The film is a deep, inward look into how surfing is not just the search of stoke but how it interacts with our lives and the beautiful nature around us.
Mainly filmed in his home island of Sardinia (ITA), in the Mediterranean, it shows Alessandro’s unique link with nature, not just in a surfing sense but his lifestyle as a whole. With scenes showing off Sardinia’s idyllic scenery and some really tasty waves. Alessandro is a keen guardian of his home island and the environment, proved by using Sardinia as his setting and Alessandro is one of the few WQS surfers that Carbon offsets his surfboards, through one of his sponsors; Decarbonated Sports.
"One Hundred and Twenty Months" proves that the Mediterranean has so many gems to offer for the travelling surfer, as Italy’s waves are frequently over looked, but the Med on the right day can offer a surfer absolute perfection.
Alessandro wants to thank all those who helped make the film; Baldini and Baldini, Luigi Corda, Ale Murgia, Fede Mullanu , Simone Langiu , Andrea Corrias, and My friends Niccolò Porcella ( voice-over) and Matt Meola.
Alessandro would also like to thanks the sponsor’s too; QUIKSILVER, Carlo Morelli , RT SURFBOARDS, DECARBONATED SPORTS and to all the guys at the WIPEOUT SURFSHOP And of course the whole of Sardinia.
