Grant "Twiggy" Baker from Durban, South Africa, won the Ride of the Year, the premiere category in the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards.
Sebastian Steudtner (Germany) won the biggest wave of the year for his ride at Jaws, Maui on December 7th 2009.
