My Waves

Add more waves at any time from the surf spot map. If there is a spot you have surfed that is not on the map then why not add it - it only takes a minute!

Surf spot: Portballintrae
Description:
Portballintrae is a very consistent beach break that provides powerful waves and can break up to 10ft. With the right banks this spot can go off. It often seems to have a little more size than other breaks in the area so worth a look if elsewhere is too small.
Surf spot: La Torche
Description:
La Torche is right hand point break and also a beach break in the bay. Due to its quality is gets very popular. The wave starts breaking at 1ft and will break up to a rideable 25ft in the right conditions. The spot works best on a westerly but will work on a northerly or a south west swell. Rips can be a problem here on the bigger swells but can also be used to get out quickly to the lineup. Hang around and watch the locals show you the way before you paddle out. It's consistent, works on most swells and all tides, not too shabby!
