Quiksilver Pro France Round 2 on Today

SEIGNOSSE, Landes, France (Friday, September 25, 2009) - Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro France will hit the water this morning at 8:15am in windswept two-to-three foot (1 metre) surf at Les Bourdaines.

Event No. 7 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Quiksilver Pro France is looking at completing the final three heats of Round 2 this morning before reassessing conditions for a possible Round 3 start.

Up first this morning will be Heitor Alves (BRA), 26, against Jay Thompson (AUS), 26, in Heat 14 of Round 2.

"Conditions are not ideal this morning, but given the outlook for the coming days, we're going to take advantage of the swell on offer," Rod Brooks, Quiksilver Pro France Contest Director, said. "We're going to finish the remaining three heats of Round 2 while assessing conditions for a possible Round 3 start."
