Puerto Rico Throws a Contest for the Groms

The Los Gallitos De Ale Moreda Surf Contest will be held Saturday May 30th at Aviones Beach in Puerto Rico. Hosted by Ale Moreda and friends the winner of the 16 & Under Division will win a Mayhem surfboard signed by Ale Moreda himself.

We are really stoked that Alejandro is putting on a sports tournament here in Puerto Rico for all the groms” says Juan Carlos Gelabert, Billabong’s regional sales rep. “It is really good for the kids and really good fro the surfing scene here.”

Starting at 8AM and running throughout the entire day, the contest is intended to attract the best and the brightest young stars from the new Puerto Rican generation who are coming into their own in the new era.

“The event is open to all girls and groms under 20 who are looking to rip!” says contest host Ale Moreda. “The Pro Junior Division will win $500 and the heavy respect of his peers.”
