Op Girls Learn To Ride Brings A Summer Of Surf
The Original Series Of Surfing Clinics For Females Announces 2005 Event Schedule
Laguna Beach, Calif. — Op Girls Learn To Ride (Op GLTR), the original series of action sports clinics for females, today announced its 2005 surfing schedule of events. Since its inception in 1998, Op GLTR has worked to develop the highest quality instructional series of its kind, using the best surfing instructors and locations from coast to coast. Over the years, Op GLTR has helped thousands of women become hooked on the sport by demonstrating that it’s a fun outdoor alternative to their traditional fitness routines.
Op Girls Learn To Ride surfing clinics will be taught by top instructors in the sport. On the east coast, clinics will be taught by: Lou Maresca and Lisa Meade’s Central Florida Surf School, Coastline Adventures Surfing School and Peter Pan Surfing School. On the west coast, clinics will be taught by: HB Wahine, Surf Diva, Surf Academy and Pacific Surf School on the west coast. Presenting sponsor Teen Vogue will provide marketing and promotions support and outreach to a broad mainstream audience of young girls, and supporting sponsor etnies Girl will create additional promotions and special events for select cities.
Also new for 2005, Op Girls Learn To Ride will be the presenting sponsor for HB Wahine’s summer surfing camps, a series of 2 to 5 day camps in Huntington Beach, Calif.
HB Wahine will also offer a wide selection of Op Girls Learn To Ride-branded apparel, gear and sports equipment in their Southern California retail store.
Op GLTR will feature 15 surfing clinics from June through October this year, as the overall series expands to include over 200 action sports clinics and camps in the U.S. and Canada this year in seven different sports.
