Angelo Lozano Training In Brazil
The ascendant Mexican surfer Angelo Lozano has been in Brazil for some days now testing Prahina’s waves. Prahina will be the scenario of the “RIO LATIN PRO SURF 2007”, which is the fifth event of the ALAS tour organized by the Latin American Surf Association. Lozano decided to arrive at Prahina some days before the competition in order to go on with the strict trainning he has been doing in his own country.
The Squalo team member is now on the fourth place of the ALAS ranking on the Pro Junior division after four dates. He has one less date of competition than the others participants since he couldn’t compete in Argentina because he was participating in the Billabong ASP World Junior Championship in Narrabeen, Sydney (Australia). Whereas in the Open division he is placed on the twentieth position.
Talking to Surfpress Lozano said: “I decided to come to Brazil two weeks before the contest to test the waves with time, I’m with Ernesto Nunes (Brazil) getting the most I can from each session. I want to get a good result for my country and improve my position on the ranking.”
SURFING IN TIGERS’ LAND
During May, the shooting of the film “Tigers’ land” took place in Michoacan (Mexico). The movie will be released next year and Angelo Lozano is one of the surfers who participates on it.
“Tigers’ land” is the first movie of Fernando Lebrija and it was calculated that the film costed two and a half million dolars. The story is about Alejandro, a well-off boy who has to change his life style drastically after a fatal accident.
Thus, while he is running away and trying to find himself again, Alejandro finds a beach where the most important thing is to surf and enjoy the moment.
“The movie will be release as soon as the beginning of 2008 and it’s about a young boy that arrives at a surfing point and falls in love with a drug dealer´s daughter. The surfing scenes will be very good because we worked with Mike Prickett, who is a specialist in underwater scenes. Prickett has already shown his talent in the film Blue Crush”, said Angelo to Surfpress from Brazil.
