FUEL TV Airs Lost Energy Drink ISA World Surfing GamesMonday, February 5, 2007
Airing Monday, February 5, 2007 at 9:30 pm Eastern Time (6:30 pm Pacific Time), and re-airing an additional eight times during the week, FUEL TV will showcase the 2006 Lost Energy Drink ISA World Surfing Games.
The 2006 Lost Energy Drink ISA World Surfing Games featured some of the best surfers from around the globe competing for their respective countries in Huntington Beach, California. “It’s super neat, all these countries coming together,” says U.S. Team Coach Peter Townend. “It sends a powerful message!”
The event was hosted by Surfing America, the national governing body for the sport of surfing in the United States. This year the Games, sponsored by Lost Energy Drink, included surfers from more than 28 countries such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Tahiti, the United Kingdom, and our own USA Surf Team. “It’s all fun and games till you hit the water, you know, then it’s cut-throat,” says Australian team member Luke Steadman.
