Magnum Martinez Hits The Argentinian Waves

Magnum Martinez opened a new year of travelling and competitions in the Argentinian waves. The Quiksilver International team member managed to show his potential on the first two swells that reached Mar del Plata’s coast. As many other Latin surfers who participated in the Reef Classic Argentina, Magneto gave just a hint of what he is able to do when the sea is in the right conditions to surf.
Not only did he enjoy the atlantic waves, but Mr. Martinez was also signing autographs with the local surfer Martín Passeri at the Reef Store on Güemes Street, Mar del Plata. The Venezuelan surfer signed many Reef Classic Argentina posters in the presence of a great number of fans. His stay in Argentina coincided with the first day of the Argentinian Surf tour. FOX SPORTS interviewed him at that event and they had the chance to talk to Magneto about the growth of Surfing in Latin America. The show was broadcasted live to all Latin American countries.
Thanks to his talent and professionalism, Magnum has assured himself a place on many speciallized media. That’s why last December Surfline.com mentioned him as one of the most outstanding surfers of the month. During that month, Puerto Rico was like the surfer’s paradaise and Steve Fitzpatrick could prove it with his camera. Under the title: Caribbean Dreaming, where Magneto along with Otto Flores and other local surfers could be seen enjoying the moment at the Caribbean North Shore.

From January the 27th to February the 9th, Magnum Martinez will be in Hawaii competing at the Monster Energy Pro on the mytical wave of Pipeline. The event has a 4-stars category and it is the second stop of the WQS tour organized by the ASP.
