The 2004 Champion took time to visit his family while he was in his country. He also went to the presentation of the first “Extreme Guide”, a magazine related to extreme sports practised in Venezuela. On that Guide Mr. Martinez talked about the thing that he knows the most, surfing.

November was a busy month for Magneto. He participated on the Barbados Reef Latin Pro the first days of the month, and then in the Costa Rica Reef, where he had a bad performance because of a problem on his right knee. However, he is on the third position on the ALAS ranking.

During a telephone conversation with Surfpress the Quiksilver Internacional team member said: “I’ve been having some challenges with my right knee, that’s why I had a rather poor performance in Costa Rica, where I hardly entered the heat to make my points. Finally I moved up to the third position on the ranking. I haven’t been surfing here in Venezuela, I’ve been resting and rehabilitating my leg, which is already improving, so I think I’ll be ready for Puerto Rico. Besides, I’ve been visiting family and friends I haven’t seen for a long time”.

During the Quiksilver Latin Pro Venezuela, Magnum was promoting different Quiksilver products among hundreds of fans who looked for an autograph of the best known venezuelan surfer around the World.

Thanks to his profesionalism and talent, Martinez had shown the path for surfers of future generations in his country and in Latin America. A proof of that could be appreciated on two significant productions. The first one is “Latin Guns” DVD produced by Quiksilver where Martinez showed all his talent in huge waves. And the other one is “Brothers” DVD produced by Reef where the best surfers told a true story of surfing and Latinamerican friendship.

Magnum Martinez is sponsored by: Quiksilver - Reef – Sharp Eye - Spy – Xtrak – Lokbox- Sambazon - Samoa.
