Solid swell expected this weekend for the Headworx Welsh Open - "The Riders

Headworx 2006 Welsh Open

A solid swell is heading towards Wales’ premier surfing beach Freshwater West just in time for the “Riders’ Choice” leg of the 2006 BPSA Tour, The Headworx Welsh Open.

Currently a huge low pressure system is making its way across the Atlantic pushing a predicted 6ft swell onto the Welsh Coastline! Wind forecasts for Saturday and Sunday are currently anticipating offshore SSE winds which should produce spectacular competition surfing from Britain’s top pros.

This weekend sees the 5th leg of the BPSA UK Tour, The Headworx Welsh Open 2006 – “The Riders Choice” Event held at Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire, Wales, one of the most scenic stops on the tour.

Last years event was one of the highlights of the tour and with the crazy activity in the Atlantic at the moment this year could be even better. All the top boys have entered and are frothing to get over there and try to take the win!
