Still No Surf at the RipCurl Boardmasters
No Waves at the Boardmasters
The Rip Curl Boardmasters was once again postponed today at sunny Fistral Beach - a huge crowd turned out at the beach ready to witness some world class surfing but the ocean denied us.
Other entertainment at the beach today saw more practice runs on the Vans Vert ramp as well as the Eastpak miniramp.
Event directors have been monitoring the weather charts and are confident of a new swell on the way, and with the nice weather set to continue make sure you come back and join us right on the beach or live on ripcurl.com

Looking the part but no waves
The surfers are set to check in at 7.30 am tomorrow for a potential start at 8, first up will be the women’s Nokia Pro featuring British girl Kathleen Spears testing her might against the likes of international stars and Rip Curl team riders Julia Christian, Jacqueline Silva and Pauline Ado. The girls have come from Huntington straight here for another major week on the WQS tour.
Following on from the women’s event will be the Rip Curl men’s event round of 158 and yes, there is a large British turn-out including Rip Curl team rider Reubyn Ash amongst others coming up against internationals including Kieren Perrow. The progressing surfers from this round will then be surfing in the round of 144 meeting some of the higher ranked surfers already seeded to this round such as WCT surfers Travis Logie or Darren O’Rafferty.
Good Crowd Though eh!
