Surfing the WEST coast of AUSTRALIA

Surfing the WEST coast of AUSTRALIA

Postby KingCanuck » Tue Dec 11, 2007 2:08 am

Has anyone surfed the west coast of Australia? Not with an organization, but on your own. How hard is it to surf out there? I am a beginner surfer, I'm planning to take a few more lessons before I head out there. Any information would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Sharks! and a few more sharks.... plus the occasional shark.

Fly straight into Perth. Get out of the city. Head to Freo (Fremantle) Get your self geared up.
You can head North or South
Would suggest heading Sth first and head straight Margerate River then take your time, sticking to the coast headed Nth. Keep an eye on the road and the other out the left hand window and you will pass Smiths Yallingup
Bunbury Cottesloe Swanbourne City Beach Scarborough Trigg Beach
Sorrento Mullaloo.... and a million more breaks.. You would prob' stop and Broom and then can-it.
Ahhhhhh W.A Plenty of clowdless waves and no one to carry your half chewed leg back to the car for you...
