Sure, whenever mother nature provides some waves. I prefer to surf the east coast. My usual spots are the Flagler Beach and Ormond Beach areas.
There are hundreds of decent breaks from Fort Pierce to Jacksonville.

Some guys surf the gulf coast side, but I don't so maybe someone else can provide more information.

I surf around south beach. If we ever get waves it's usually just chop.

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and we Surf whenever a system brings the Waqves in. We just had 6 straight days of wait to chest high fun. But mostly I go East to Sebastian Inlet. But the Crowds are THICK at theese spots, so you better have brought your A game to Surf there. I usualy hit a few spots away from 1st peak, and let the locals have thier area. It is just as good or better up the Beach a little. Cocoa has good longboard, and SUP waves. Somtime the Northern Spots ( Cocoa, Indiatlantis, Melbourne) will get good, but South is almost allways better. Never Surfed the Flaggler area, yet.

We get the most waves during hurricane season and winter. I like hurricane season because when we get waves there is usually no school!

Yeah im looking forward to florida, im moving there in a week and am looking forward to not only learning to surf but also the fall/winter surf season, as its generally the best down there.
Anyone surf around daytona beach or down about 60 miles to playalinda?

i live in west palm...it gets pretty good there and if your lookin to go surfin normally the whole east coast is good durin hurricans...were gettin 5+ rite now from that hurrican dean...i went out today and it was rely good...but daytonas good

I live in cocoa beach. And about every other week its surfable. But if its big here in cb then most guys are heading to sebastion inlt. Cause its usually a foot or so bigger.

Water near me is a comfortable 91 degrees . The Gulf get's hot as bath water, in the Summer time.

I surf in the Jacksonville Beach area. Good swells from hurricane dean. just started learning this summer and looking forward to the hurricane season.

I was in Siesta Key (near Sarasota) back in June. No surfing though, the Gulf was completely flat. There was a very small surf shop in Siesta Key. I spoke with the owner for about a 1/2 hour. He mentioned that it would have been a 3 hr drive to get to the nearest surf spot across to the Atlantic. It wasn't worth my time since I was on vacation with the family. Also the Gulf water was very warm...about 85 degrees in June.
