Im 6'4 and i weight 180 and i few days ago started learning how to surf. I was thinking about buying a board many websites say that the soft board would be perfect for beginner but i read somewhere if u planning to do it pretty oft and u're sure that u will progress fast u shouldn't buy a softboard u should buy a pop-out right away.I guess next 2 weeks im going just rent softboard but after that im planning to buy a pop up and which should i buy

That, unfortunately, you can't buy.

Just search around the bic and NSP websites and see which one's most suited to you depending on whether you want to head in the shortboard or longboard direction.
A minimal would be a good choice I think, maybe 8'.

 No, the minimal should be around 8 foot, it's like an inbetween surfboard that is usually longboard shaped but smaller, from there you can progress to either a shortboard or a longboard.

Buy the one with the best used resale value.

If it's your first shortboard, then probably at least 6'8.

It's been a few weeks now since I transitioned from a 9' to a 7'4" and it's been somewhat frustrating. I think you should take their advice and go for at least an 8' because I am now looking into getting one for myself.
