Web Power Gloves?

Anyone ever use these gloves with webbing in the fingers? I thought they may be good for a beginner to paddle faster, not sure though. Any opinions?

they would, yea add more restiance, but if your a beginer it would mean slower acceleration, and would just tire you out faster. I would onl use em if you had some previous surfing ability. Otherwise forget it. Mabie you could strap a small trolling motor on the back and paddling would be gone forever...

where would you get webed gloves ne way?

Tried some of those things years ago. All I got was sore shoulder joints & ligaments from the extra stress on them..
Most people have an ability to generate an "x" amount of power & speed when paddling right? this is based on your personal strength, your hand size & arm length, well, if you make the hand bigger (by adding webbing) the arm won't be able to travel as fast when in the water (more water resistance)...All you do is end up travelling the same speed as before...just with a slower paddle stroke.

Using another example....if you're rowing a boat and you then change to oars with bigger blades....you won't go any faster. If you were to use a LONGER oar yes (more leverage)...but not with just a bigger blade.

yea that makes sense. I have allways though of them as you use them to build up your muscles then take em off adn you should go faster, because you have the built up armstrength, or mabie like a mesh webbing. I know if your swimming they will make you go faster. I duno...
