im deffo moving after uni. Those waves are unbelivable. Id kill for waves like that. The pics are amazing once again BDW, feels so real just looking at them

Nice Photos.. The wedge usually sits about a foot higher then the rest of the breaks around here. It is a very shallow break. There are many times that the only thing under you is sand. Can't get out today but I will be out tomrrow.

Love the newport wedge.... it heaves! Closest thing to it in the UK is Ceiriad.... Love wedges so much fun and total playground for the sponge :)

Plenty of ace vids on you tube of NP wedge, most of the footage on the good vids is from the No Friends Bodyboard films.

The beauty of the wedge is deceiving. What you don't see is the view from the surfer. The shore is right there. It's very, very shallow as one mentioned. A lot of guys go out there and try to 'charge' only to break their back, or worse, their neck. Not a pretty picture. It is a high performance wave for sure. Not for the faint of heart especially when you have a dry sand bank approaching fast.
