Bruised ribs...

Bruised ribs...

Postby danz » Sun Aug 29, 2004 7:28 pm

Went surfing for the first time and my lower ribs got really bruised or at least the flesh on top of the ribs...i'm pretty sure this is just from paddling and the board smacking into me...i was using a bic plastic board...has anyone else had this happen to them and does it continue?...
thanks

somtimes it helps to arch your back. it also helps to not laydown the whole time alternate a bit and sit up in the lineup longer.

You get used to it after a while... for b-boarders like me its worse cause of the angle and stance we take on the board when riding prone
