You are playing it real smart "Duncs" and as a girl I can tell you that you are absolutely right!!! What does a girl need more than having a surfer as a boyfriend (absolutely perfect) but don't forget that the fit beach babes are also fit beach babes to look good in fornt of the real sexy surfers!

Hey Nina, welcome to the forum!!!!

To be honest i am not "totally" superficial. The real reason i love to surf is just that feeling you get when you catch a wave :)

Then there is the freedom, the fresh air, the healthy lifestyle, and the fact that you are out of the RAT RACE. I am still too young to technically be in it yet (the rat race i mean) cos im only 18, but im starting off as i mean to go on!

The other things are just nice, maybe i started surfing cos of the girls, but now its all changed. Mind you they still fill my stomach with butterflies, all the surfer chicks and beach babes. Definitely better than HUGE gold earings, a white tracksuit, and a pram,....well in my opinion anyway,....

when ur a newbie, u cant just expect to get waves. i didnt, none of my mates did, and neither did my dad or his generation. u earn respect and a spot in the line up. i surfed for a year of getting dropped in on, cut off, threatenin to get bashed and wrecking my board before i got accepted, and ill tell you something, it was worth it. the moment i got accepted, i had a whole new group of friends, protection, and a spot in the line up if the surf was pumping, you earn your stripes, like in anything else.
