lauz, did you try the board yet?
just don't kill yourself on it, if it don't work, go back to the rental for a few before getting back on your new board, you'll eventually get it

hey, finally got around to using it, it was quite fun actually! So much harder to paddle and balance on but I think I managed fine, didn't manage to stand up but got pretty close, my arms were getting weak from paddling (out of practice!) so didn't have the strength to pop up in the end lol!

To be fair it was pretty flat but it was fun anyway! My friend who has been surfing longer on a mini mal had a go and found it hard too, but managed to stand up but then couldn't keep her balance on it.

It's very buoyant, I tried many times to sit on it but either the board or myself would flip up, good source of hilarity though!

We think it has an air bubble or something on the left rail, it feels sort of soft there, I am going to persevere with it, but maybe get something a bit wider and longer for small days, what do you think?

Whats the fin set up on that? Looks like its probaly a three-fin thruster set up but its hard to tell. And it'll make a big difference if its something else!

And how thick is it? Presumably at least 2 1/2 inches if its a big boy model?

As long as its got a fair bit of volume and hasnt got a weird fin set up, that should be okay to improve on.

It's 7"2 x 20" x 3", and the fin set up is currently 2 FCS side fins and longboard centre fin.

Jeez, that'll be easy to surf!

I wouldnt want to take it out on big waves, but it should fly on smaller days. Might be a bit tricky to turn though. It'll turn slow and smooth - dont expect to be doing radical turns on it.

Swallow tail with a longboard centre fin.... might be a little weird - never tried a set-up like that. Anyone?

Great, I could always use the other board when i'm better for bigger days anyway, right now I just want to have fun and have a chance of improving! I guess I could just use a normal fin instead of the longboard fin but if anyone knows why the longboard fin is used, i'd like to know too!

£180 - sound good for that board and a tiki bag?
