Excellent waves, excellent surfers, excellent photography! Hey I have a stupid question I'm sure. Each of those photos it appears that those guys are wearing rash guards over top of their wetsuits? Am I seeing those photos correctly? What is the benefit of wearing rashguards on the outside of a wetsuit? Sorry, I'm kinda new and still don't "get" everything surf-related yet. Knowledge is king!

For contest, people can see who you are. They usually will have an announcer saying "yellow, wave number 4" etc....
