Glassing and Finishing?

I am getting a board customized and have a question concerning glassing... what's better or is any perticular type better than the other..

Normal
Team
Polished
wet&dry gloss or
Pro Tek

I do not know much about glassing which is why I have been holding off answering this one.
Why not have a chat to the person who is shaping your board, get all the details and then come back and enlighten us all.

I do not think that for the average surfer it is worth while going into a shaper with a list of measurements, talking about what concave etc is really such a great thing - especially if the surfer does not really know all that much about concave, reverse vee etc, and what they all actually do for the performance of the surfboard. If the shaper knows his/her stuff and you are honest about your ability you'll probably get a far better surfboard.

all i know about gassing is that strong glassing makes a heavy board and light board are not that durable...

probably pro surfers use light boards and when they break or something they get another one, what i dont know (and would realy like to know) is how much does weight realy influence the ride

is a 4 kg board much harder to handle than a 3 kg board?
this diference is too small to make diference in floatarion...

might sound weird, but it depends how good u are. a pro tek glass finished will slide in tail spins if not handled correctly, and a heavy finished wont be able to carve off the bottom as well.
