Dark evenings, no surf

Its really annoying me at the mo that when I get home from school I cant go and surf, cos when I do get back home its getting dark. I only get to surf at the weekends now and its soooooo crowded then.

Random Q: What time is the sun setting down in the south of the UK and do you get to surf from after about 4:30pm?

I have this problem too. The only chance I get to surf now is on weekends. Im in uni 28hrs a week from 9 up to 5. It gets dark here between 5-6pm.

The sun rises at 6am and sets at 6pm all year around.....how boring!

I'm quite lucky all though i'm supposed to work during the week, i can shut up shop occasionally if its really going off, cause its my own place.

I work the perfect hours for being a surfer. I start at 6:00PM, and get off work at 2:00AM.

Drive there in the dark to be in the water for 1st light. (about 6:45am atm) you got a good hour/ hour and a half before you gotta stert thinking about getting out for work etc.
