Novice Surfing near Les Mathes, France?

Hi Guys,

Taking family to Les Charmettes at Les Marthes on the Charente Maritime for 2 weeks in August.

My wife and 2 small children (6 and 5) are keen to get into some waves (body boarding for the kids) but will need to hire soft boards or the old swell boards.

Any suggestions as to surf spots with hire shops (we have roof rack)
