Bali or Java in winter

Any experiences with these two sites would be appreciated and I refer to surfing as well as general enjoyment and low cost accomodation.

In winter means may to october, go Java. To Genteng area, Tourtle, you could stay, if you get it by your own per 8€ a day, include 3 goods meals( Batu besar losmen) in front the Tourtle break.

Hmmm right, winter in N.Hemi is what I meant. So question should have been "what is recommended from December to March"?
