Road Trip

Road Trip

Postby TJ_ » Tue Sep 05, 2006 1:47 pm

With new board at the ready, I'm on for a road trip. 8)

Being in the Midlands there is no-where real local.
So, I've been doing some research and the best bets in terms of travel times I reckon are: Rest Bay, Hells Mouth or Cayton Bay. I'd like to go back down to Croyde but the 4 hours is a bit steep for a days surfing.

What's your views on this.. any adice much appreciated

Cheers 8)

if your heading for rest bay, llangennith is about an extra 1/2 to 3/4 hour drive and is much more consistant, just so you know if you get there and its tiny/flat.

Well I'd suggest to head somwhere with a wide selection of breaks facing different ways.

In october you'll pretty much gurenteed some swell the only issue will be the wind.
I'd Suggest:
South Wales Gower/Pembroke
North Wales (llyen)
Kernow south coast
or if your up for a propper trip then the Outer hebrdies or North Scottland.
