Wetsuit for Orange County Surf

Hey guys, new to the board here...

Im looking to buy a wetsuit for the waters out here in orange county. Im moving into 27th street Newport in september so im going to take advantage of the surf out there.

What do you guys reccomend for the waters out here? I was thinking about going to a local shop to try on spring suits, but i dont know how the thicknesses work... can anyone explain and make a suggestion fo rthe water out here... im talking summer conditions of course...

Also, what will i need for winter? Thanks!

You will need several suites.

Right now I am trunking it.

Spring suit I use 2-1

Begining of winter, I use 3-2 full with sealed seems.

Full on winter, I use a 4-3 full with sealed seems.

Similar here--3-2 winter full suit and then spring suit (don't know the specs), and right now swim suit, boardshorts and rashguard.

well i guess im just weird but i wear a 3/2 full all year round but then i really feel the cold. Most people are trunking it but i see a couple still wear springs/full at dawn patrol.
