Aloha spirit

Aloha spirit

Postby mai » Mon Dec 19, 2005 5:26 pm

This is a quotation from the text of Aloha Spirit Law .. sounds like paradise to me - I read that is law in Hawaii .. Is it true?
THE ALOHA SPIRIT LAW

(a) The Aloha Spirit is the coordination of mind and heart within each person. It brings each person to the Self. Each person must think and emote good feelings to others. In the contemplation and presence of the life force, Aloha, the following unuhi laulâ loa (free translation) may be used:

Akahai, meaning kindness to be expressed with tenderness;
Lôkahi, meaning unity, to be expressed with harmony;
`Olu`olu, meaning agreeable, to be expressed with pleasantness;
Ha`aha`a, meaning humility, to be expressed with modesty;
Ahonui, meaning patience, to be expressed with perseverance.

Aloha is more than a word of greeting or farewell or a salutation.
Aloha means mutual regard and affection and extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return.
Aloha is the essence of relationships in which each person is important to every other person for collective existence.
Aloha means to hear what is not said, to see what cannot be seen and to know the unknowable.

That's pretty cool but i know something that is better than that and it is knowing the creator of the whole world, jesus christ. You might think this is weird :shock: but its true that god exists and i know him personally. :D

My bud from Maui said there isn't much Aloha spirit left in Hawaii. The breaks are crowded and the Hawaiians don't like mainlanders. Bummed me out.

hah no such thing, what exactly is the law anyway? if we dont act in that way, we get a fine? huh? so if you have a bad day and snub someone you get a fine? that would suck.. and then the law would contradict itself.

honolulu is a crowded city, and there usually isnt enough room or time to act like that.

people will be people- kind, hateful, etc. wherever you go.

as for christianity, there is nothing wrong with believing in an invisible man in the sky who sent his son to earth to be killed and divide peoples religious beliefs even further, causing more hatred and war.

nothing wrong with worshiping a god who is known in the bible for tormenting and murdering hundreds of thousands of people, some of whom believed in him, to prove a point.

jesus didnt create the universe anyway, according to the christians that happend 6,000 years ago, by god. jesus was born 2,006 years ago. an absurd idea either way.

Aloah.

A word every surfer have heard. Some people could write studie on the matter, but I like to keep it simple.

Aloah, for me, is the amount you can give without expecting anything in return.

When saying "amount" I'm obviously not talking about money.

Didn't I hear on South Park one of the characters say "Religion is just a whole bunch of angry people arguing about who has the best invisible friend"

Aloha :-)

In response to hawaiiSUCKSexceptsurf jesus is god and the holy spirit all in one and that is what us christians believe and if you read the bible it says that he god created humans animals and the whole universe and that means god basically owns everything on earth and in the universe.

Jesus was sent to be killed yes but it was to bring us back to god in a perfect relationship with him. Remeber back in the garden of eden thats when man turned away and when god sent jesus it was for us to come back to god. The jewish race new that a messiah that was to be called jesus would come and when this happened the pharisees the jewish priests didn't acknowledge that he was the messiah and that is the only reason the religions were divided and all other religions at the time were made up by people anyway.

The only reason god punished people was because they turned away from him and he never tormented them only punished.

By God sending jesus he is giving you a wayout all the punishing that went on in the bible won't happen again untill your judgement day that why he sent jesus he was meant to die for you and me and us so that we can be forgiven from our sins. Im not trying to say all this doom and gloom there really is hope in jesus christ.

In response to all that you are entitled your own beleifs but really what do you think will happen when you die do you beleive in heaven or hell or is it some other place that you think you will go.

I suggest that you beleive in what the bible says because what else have you got to lose. Hell a real place and its not one big great party and fun.

Without God there would be no waves for you to ride you wouldn't even be alive.

Just because im christian doesnt mean im perfect i still do things wrong to this very day. Excepting jesus into your heart isn't about being perfect but its only a gift that you can receive by praying a simple prayer.

In the end what have you got to lose even if god didn't create this world it would still be a great way to live your life.

And if he did create this world and you he knows whats best for you cause he made you just like somebody who invents a mad surfing game he knows just how it works or doesn't work so what have you got to lose.

"Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7

"Wake up, O sleeper of the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
Ephesians 5:14

The same question goes for evolution where they say that we started from some bacteria but where did that bacteria come from and as for starting from nothing. how can nothing start from nothing

God was just always there i can't explain it and the bible doesn't say much about it but i would rather believe that god was always there than something starting from nothing or coming from bacteria which turned into a monkey which turned into what we call a human being.

You might believe in evolution either anyway after me going on about it.

Me being a christian is more than believing in god and such its a personal relationship. I can pray to him any time and ask for help in situations and his bible is my guide for my life. :D

We are nothing more than the nuclear waste of stars that exploded billions of years ago, just a complex string of atoms, the same atoms every thing else is made out of
