New Jersey surf

hey im from hawaii duh, and ill be visiting my granparents this summer, or atleast planning on it. they live close to asbury park? is that what its called? theres a boardwalk there and i know their town is called neptune..
i want to surf there for the experience and its been flat here for almost 3 weeks so ive been bored.
does anyone live around there and know any surf spots where i could go?i have a six foot shortboard i might bring if i think i can find surf, and i may or may not have the use of a car, but if theres anything around asbury park that would be awesome. does anyone know some spots?

Manasquan is a must...its 3-4ft today so it should be fun. Don't surf asbury its illegal

If you dont wanna take the trip walk down a few blocks to ocean grove...if its sunday you have to surf after 12(religious town)...it should be very close to you and you will see a big peir

New Jersey can suck sometimes in the summer but there is always a good day at least twice a week

HEY!!! I used to live in Asbury Park so I know the best places. I've lived in Asbury PArk for 11 years so you can figure it out from there. If you're coming to visit your grandparents I'd be glad to show you or tell you where the best spots are :wink:

aww im sorry my trip has been moved until the winter. maybe id go but can you rent wetsuits? that would be awesome id definetly go even in the winter if i had someone to go with. would you still be interested in december?
