Board Selection for North Devon

Board Selection for North Devon

Postby Stoofer » Tue Apr 04, 2006 7:31 pm

Hey!

I have just learnt to surf and have bought myself a nice shiny new wetsuit but I would like some advice as to what board I should get.

I am 6'1" and weigh 13stone (if that makes a difference!)

Im looking at a mini-mal sort of thing, but have no idea of what make or type to get etc!!

Oh and im hoping to surf in North Devon (Croyde etc) if anyone else surfs there and knows the waves and type of board that would best suit??

Any advice (big or small) is welcome!

Pop into Second Skin in Braunton and speak to the guys there.

Be honist about your skill level etc and your future desires of surfing. They will advise you on approprate dimentions according to your prefferences.

it all depends where your gunu surf, saunton you should get a nice longboard, but if your surfing croyed go for a short board but on the bigger side (6'8), but if your surfing wollocombe or putts it doesnt realy matter.
