I feel sorry for.....

People who are landlocked. Meaning, living in the midwest or in central America/Canada. I think i'd go insane if I didn't live near the ocean. I'm from Prince Edward Island, and living on an Island is pretty cool. I lifeguard and surf every summer. I only wish I was from Cali, or Hawaii so I could surf all year long. Oh well, every time summer rolls around I get the surf board out.

How cold does the water get there? I'm from the northeast, and surf year 'round in a 5mil. Our winter water temp. normally hit's a low of about 34 degrees F, and I can handle an hour or two with a good suit, some guys longer than that.

My surfing defenitely isn't all year round, because we get tons of snow during the winter and our water is covered with ice. But during the summer our water is warmest in August and September.

Gotcha. Cold water is one thing, frozen is another. At least you have the other seasons.
