Roof Racks

Roof Racks

Postby GremmieOuttaControl » Thu May 20, 2004 12:50 pm

Are the roof-racks designed for surfboards any good, or is it better just to get a normal roof rack and use a load of bungee to keep the board there? Dunno if it makes much difference, but I’ve got a 5 door Civic.

Cheers

When you say ones designed for board do you mean sorf racks? if so they yeah they do the job but add shitloads of drag to ur car upping fuel consumption..

A hard rack doesn't so much as the air flows underneath. Plus u can use it for anyhting!! (btw dont use stretchy cords... Use propper lockoff straps.)

I agree with Papa don't use bungee straps on a roofrack, use the proper locking straps.

If you are worried about the price of a proper rack over a soft rack, let me know, I can suggest somewhere to get a proper rack cheaply.
