They were talking about trying that at meacoms pier a while back. Sounds pretty cool though

they are making one at bournmouth in the uk proably has to be one of the most inconsitant spots in the uk stuck half way up the english channel

complete waste of money

I think I read somewhere that the Bournemouth study showed up that the Boscombe reef will make it a more consistent spot. The reef will be much further out - off the end of the pier and will catch far more swell than the beach currently does.

I hope they do build it, my mate lives in a flat overlooking Boscombe pier!!
